This latest design is optimized for the OLED screens in the latest iPhones, with improved backgrounds and higher contrast for maximum readability. It also takes advantage of the larger screen sizes now available to show more data about one day in a single screen.

Choose from the classic “Simple” or “Cards” for a quick overview of your day, or switch to the advanced “Helix” view — which is ideal if you have an Apple Watch and want to see everything graphed. All of the views now scroll and support pull to refresh.

To change the color and or layout, just scroll down and you’ll see the options at the bottom of the reports tab. You’ll also be able to manually enter more data from the “Enter Data” button—like mood, blood sugar, meditation, or anything else you want to save in the app.

New Light color for maximum visibility!

Switching to the light theme will also change the background in the Places tab, which can be especially useful when you are outdoors and checking into new places.

New account & latest tabs

Now the app is more organized. It’s much easier to get to your latest data, see the progress you’re making on your goals, or configure your account.

Use the Vault for ultimate privacy!

With Places and many integrations, it’s easier than ever to get a lot of useful data into your Gyroscope account.

We’ve also got great friends features—like the leaderboards and cards feed—so the app experience is a lot better if you add your close friends.

With the Vault, you can do both without worrying about losing any privacy.

Many people are happy to share with their friends, but now anyone can hide the most sensitive stats: weight, age, location or computer usage, from friends on Gyroscope—while still seeing it for themselves and getting all the benefits of tracking.

Customize your Home Screen icon

In the Account tab, you can now choose a custom icon. Some are part of Pro, while others are unlocked by completing certain achievements—for example, running 10 miles gives you a special run icon.

Open in app

Apple Health sync in iOS12

The syncing has been reworked from the ground up to be more accurate and fast, so you see newer data when you open the app and not miss anything. More importantly, it is also more battery efficient now.

This version also starts syncing the new VO2Max calculations, for those who do cardio workouts with the Apple Watch.

New URLs

For power users who want fast access, we’ve also added some new URL’s that link directly into pages in the app.
